Problem with the laptop I got from work
I got a laptop from my workplace and turned it into a personal one. The problem is that the device keeps trying to reach the company's server, which shows a message asking to activate Windows. Whenever I bring it back to work and connect it, the message disappears. How can I stop the laptop from trying to access the company's network?
The IT team at your company is making a mistake by keeping their OS and data on it.
It requires a complete reset and reinstallation.
This means you'll have to buy your own operating system for it. You can't keep using the company's resources.
The problem lies in the Windows license tied to the operating system on your laptop, which is an Enterprise edition commonly found in business environments. This license needs to be verified with the home server periodically to confirm its legitimacy. As previously noted, you must reset it and install a new version of Windows (either Home or Professional).
