Suddenly, my computer began experiencing severe frame drops, and I have no clue what might be causing it. Could there be something wrong with the system?
My current setup includes an i3 7100 GT, 1030, 8GB RAM, and a 2400MHz processor. The frame drops occur in every game, and it seems like it's not due to a hardware bottleneck because everything worked perfectly just a week ago.

frame drops refer to moments when the game pauses or loses visual continuity. The difference between frame drops, stuttering, and general poor performance lies in the cause—drops are sudden interruptions, stuttering involves repeated failures, and overall bad performance is a broader issue. For games, consider settings like resolution, graphical details, and in-game options. A "fine" frame rate is typically around 60 frames per second, with stable performance across most titles. The average high and low frame rates vary by game; check specific titles for their typical ranges. Your power supply is a Dell PowerEdge R750, model XYZ, with an estimated usage of about 8 years.

The games you're using aren't ideal for playing with a GT 1030. The i3 also lacks sufficient power. Is the 8gb a single stick or a dual-stick?
