I switched to Windows 10 Pro and the following day it upgraded to Windows 11. Now I experience occasional freezes where the screen locks up but the game or video still plays through audio. I’m completely confused about what’s happening. Any assistance would be really helpful. No, I don't have access to your system details. Please check your motherboard BIOS and GPU drivers directly for the most up-to-date information.

I really don’t understand how to verify the newest BIOS version, though I’ve installed the most recent GPU drivers right away.

It was released in 2019, and users are now downloading the newest version from Gigabyte. Edit: The download fails to start, only indicating it can't run on 64-bit systems.

You are fetching an update. The process typically starts within the Bios, using a manufacturer-provided utility on Windows or another official method such as Bios flashback. Have you reviewed the instructions?

Go to BIOS settings and since you're using a Gigabyte board, update the BIOS via Q Flash (or Q Flash+ on certain models). Ensure you've downloaded the newest chipset drivers before proceeding. Verify your motherboard's revision—incorrect one might prevent the update. Be aware of the potential risks involved with a BIOS update.

I also attempted an update in the BIOS, but it shows OEMID Mismatch.

Incorrect bios file being used during update. Verify that your revision number aligns with your motherboard and select the accurate model.
