Problem with strange mouse and keyboard issues following installation of new motherboard, CPU, and GPU?
Experiencing unusual issues with the mouse and KB after installing the new motherboard, GPU, and CPU.
Swapped out the motherboard, CPU, and graphics card in my computer.
I own a Logitech MX Keys wireless keyboard and a Logitech G900 wireless mouse.
With the previous setup, I could move 10-15 meters away from the computer, across several rooms, using both devices.
Now, when connected to the TV in the nearby room, the connection is broken. The mouse cursor doesn’t respond and sometimes stutters. The same happens with the keyboard.
Anyone can tell me what might be causing this problem?
The new parts are an Asus Rog Strix B550, a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and an MSI RTX 4080 Super.
Do you remember reinstalling the operating system during the platform migration?
Did you reinstall the keyboard and mouse drivers?
Was the dongle relocated to another USB port?
Consider using a USB extension cable to relocate the dongle, move it up, and keep it away from the case.
As a quick check, replace the batteries in the keyboard and mouse.
