I've experienced this problem for a long time and it mostly involves static audio when connecting my headset (Hyper x cloud 2) to the USB ports on my PC. It's quiet at normal volumes but plays even without any sound. I also notice static feedback noise when using a cheap USB microphone (around $30-40 on Amazon) and it becomes clear when recording audio. Discord helps reduce this with its built-in sound suppression, but the issue persists.

It's interesting to note that connecting the headset to the front or back 3.5mm jack makes the static disappear completely. This leads me to wonder why I have static with the motherboards' USB ports but not with the audio jack. Some people suggest using an externally powered USB hub as a possible solution, though I'm still trying to figure out the root cause.
