You've noticed some unusual behavior with your PC after installing Windows. It seems the partitioning might be affecting boot settings. Check your UEFI options carefully—ensure the correct drive is selected for startup. If needed, reset the BIOS or try a clean installation to fix any issues.

I previously relied on it for startup, but over time it would become unresponsive on the page featuring Asus' logo, replacing the Windows icon (once you chose to enter BIOS).

Verify your SATA configurations. Did you switch from IDE to AHCI or vice versa?

Hello, resolving startup issues can be challenging since each PC has a unique configuration. Factors like drivers, conflicts with other programs, malware, and memory problems can all lead to starting difficulties. A startup repair tool can identify and resolve obstacles stopping your PC from launching. Here’s what you should do: Begin the repair process automatically; it will attempt to fix the issue. If it doesn’t start by itself, follow these steps to access System Recovery Options: a. Clear all external drives—floppy disks, CDs, DVDs—and either swipe from the right or press Windows + C to open the Charms bar. In the search bar type “advanced options” and pick “Change advanced startup options.” From there, select “Restart now.” b. Choose one of these actions: - If your system runs a single OS, an option will appear. - If you have multiple OSes, use arrow keys to highlight the desired one, then select an option. c. On the option screen, tap or click Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Repair. d. Proceed with the on-screen guidance. Good luck!
