Hi everyone, I own a 4-year-old Dell Inspiron 15 3582 running Windows 11. I recently attempted to boot it up to transfer some files, but the spinning circle at startup keeps stopping and won’t progress. I’m not sure what’s causing this issue. Any advice or guidance would be really helpful. Thanks!

Yes, it might have received an update during the last time you turned it off.

I chose to transfer both drives to another laptop I had for testing. If the problem continues, I’ll identify the exact cause. I’m hoping it won’t happen again. EDIT 2/16/24: It turned out the 1TB HDD was the culprit. I replaced it with a spare Seagate 500GB drive, and it started working properly. It seems the drive might be dead.
