I completed the setup but pressing the power button doesn’t do anything. There’s no fan noise, no sound, and nothing responds. I checked all cables again, but everything seems fine. My system has a Ryzen 5600 CPU, an Asus TUF B550 motherboard, and a 6750GT GPU.

Is the power supply active? Are certain LEDs on the motherboard illuminating?

The power switch cable is connected to the correct pins on the motherboard.

PSU is active, I notice RGB illumination on the motherboard, and the flbk_led1 is blinking.

However, your motherboard came with a Ryzen 5000 Series chip already installed, so a BIOS update likely isn't required.

The 5600 requires an update to the BIOS.

You're confirming whether an update is necessary based on the information you've gathered. The source suggests the Ryzen 5000 Series is ready for use without a BIOS update.

My best assumption is the 5600 was released a month after the first Ryzen 5000 chips. This way the mainboard can be configured for the Ryzen 5000 without needing the 5600 built-in right away... I haven’t seen a manufacturing date on the board in the form of a code before, so you could verify it yourself. If you find one, it would help confirm if the 5600 was available then. I’d just consider updating the BIOS via BIOS-Flashback instead.

The 5600 and 5500 models arrived after the 5600X, so they require an updated BIOS compared to the earlier release.
