It began with the new PC powering on normally, but then a red CPU indicator appeared and the system failed to start afterward. It only restarts when I disconnect and reconnect the power supply unit. The issue isn’t related to the PSU button or bent pins.

Have you purchased it or constructed it yourself? Is it genuinely brand new or merely recently introduced to you? What are your requirements?

I only made the upgrades, including the CPU, motherboard, and graphics card. Yes, I assembled everything myself. The components arrived yesterday: an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 TRAY, ASUS TUF B550-PLUS GAMING Power color RX7600, and the other parts.

This CPU works best with a BIOS/firmware version that is more recent than the one you have installed. It's hard to know your motherboard's exact BIOS without using it, and even if it has an updated version, it's not usually listed on packaging or included materials. You can find details here: https://www.asus.com/uk/support/faq/1047130/

If the motherboard doesn't support it, it may not work properly.

Your motherboard does support that CPU so long as the BIOS is updated to the most recent version. Also, again, this is just one of several possibilities, but a very real one. Some others here may have alternative suggestions of things to check first Such as: Can you list all of the connectors going from the PSU to the motherboard, and confirm they're all firmly securely pushed all the way in?

It includes a 12-pin connector, a USB port beneath it, power indicator lights, audio connections, an 8-pin CPU interface, and all the fan cables.
