Hi! I'm setting up a PC for my brother. Right now I don't have new RAM or an SSD, so I'm moving them from my own machine to test. Windows 10 is on that drive, but I can't start it. It shows up in BIOS, yet it isn't recognized as a bootable device. Only when Secure Boot is turned on does it detect the SSD as a bootable drive, but still won't start. I checked my BIOS settings and tried to match them with his (Fast Boot and Secure Boot off, UEFI). I confirmed the Windows installation is in GPT format. I also updated the BIOS to the latest version. Still nothing works. When I tried to reinstall Windows, it gave a "Load driver" error. If you know what else I should try, please let me know. By the way, I also connected the SSD back to see if it still boots, and it does. Brother's PC specs: Asus H510M-K i5-11400F, Asus RTX 3050. My PC specs: MSI H410M i3-10100F, Asus RTX 3050. The SSD I'm talking about is Kingston NV1 PCIe NVMe M.2 500 GB. Let me know if this helps!

Reflashing the bios may help. why I think so: Nvme has always beeen a bit flakey. The problem is it’s a hack Adson to a hack add on. Lots of opportunity for corruption.

You managed to boot using bcdboot, but it only works when the installation USB is connected. Try removing the USB and then reconnecting it to see if that resolves the issue.
