Problem with SSD: Infinite loading screen and drive not found.
I’m dealing with a problem involving my SSD. Once I booted up and chose my drive, I faced an infinite loading screen that eventually turned into a black screen with a blinking cursor. After some checks, I realized the issue was with the SSD itself. At times, Windows even showed a message saying it wasn’t installed. In the BIOS, the SSD was still listed but didn’t provide any more info. Since I’m already preparing to buy a new PC, I saw this as a chance. The new system runs smoothly, but when I try to connect my old SSD, it takes an extremely long time to load and the drive isn’t recognized anymore. Do you think there’s a way to access the data without hiring costly recovery services?
Consider using an external enclosure. If that fails, attempt freezing the drive or reflow baking it. Both options carry the danger of worsening the damage. I’d start with freezing, as it’s the safer choice.
