Problem with SpeedFan during startup is resolved.
I recently added SpeedFan to manage my noisy case fans. From what I understand, it lacks a "start at boot" feature. I attempted the usual fix by adding a shortcut that directs to the executable in the StartUp folder, which functions well for other applications. However, SpeedFan doesn’t behave the same way—it won’t load automatically unless I manually open it. I even set up a scheduled task to run it at boot, but it still shows "task not yet run" in the notes.
Hi, I haven't used SpeedFan (SF) myself, but I believe I assisted someone with a similar problem. The issue seems to be that SF tries to load as admin, and it's difficult to start apps at startup without admin rights (otherwise you'd get 20 popups from apps requesting access). A scheduled task would be my suggestion, though I think you've already tried that. Check out this previous post: https://forums. My thought is there might be a problem with the task you set up—possibly an incorrect configuration. These tasks can be tricky to create and require many settings to be correct. I'd recommend removing the task and starting fresh.

It looks like something might be wrong with the task you created—possibly an incorrect setting. These tasks can be tricky to set up and require many adjustments. I’d recommend deleting the task and starting fresh. The information on this page could be useful: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials...sh...-10-a.html If you still face issues, please take screenshots of all the task settings and share them here. I’ll try to find more details.
Thanks for the clarification. I understand you're looking for the location of the Shortcut Wizard in Windows 10 to use manually, as the usual method is no longer available. Let me know if you'd like further assistance with finding it.
Thank you for returning and informing us about the fix. This will assist others facing the same issue moving forward.
