Problem with speaking clarity
Hey, I’m dealing with an unusual problem that feels more like a stutter than anything typical. There are two patterns: first, when launching Task Manager, there’s a short pause of 1 to 3 seconds while it opens slowly. Second, after starting Minecraft (for some reason only this game), once the launcher finishes and you wait for the Mojang logo to appear, there’s a significant delay followed by a freeze—effectively locking the system at about one frame per second for 3 to 10 seconds. I suspect it might be related to Java, but trying various versions hasn’t helped. Interestingly, when I run Minecraft on my laptop using a .bat script, it starts normally and doesn’t cause any stuttering. The system runs smoothly otherwise. Here’s what I observe: temperatures are normal (around 47°C on GPU, 64°C on CPU), CPU usage stays steady between 15-30%, and GPU usage is between 15-45% consistently. Storage shows typical activity with only minor bandwidth usage (0-11%). This has been frustrating lately—especially since I spend a lot of time coding and watching videos. Even after a fresh restart, Minecraft launches without any issues, which makes me think it’s not Java-related. I’ve noticed everything works at around 1 FPS during playback, but the game itself freezes completely for several seconds. I’m trying to rule out performance settings, but all my Windows, Lenovo, and Nvidia tools are set to maximum. I even reset default values without any change. It’s been about six months now, and this is really affecting my workflow. If you have more details or need anything else, just let me know—I can share a video if you’d like. I used OBS for screen capture, but it only shows the freeze, not the full experience. OS: Windows 11 (64-bit). CPU: Ryzen 7 5800H. GPU: RTX 3070. Machine: Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 6 (16", 2021 model), Model 82JQ0067US. Mods: swapped to 64GB RAM (total 64GB). Notes: I’m using it on a docked setup with multiple monitors, not on battery power. It runs at full power via wall adapter (300W).
Launching Minecraft can be quite intensive. I haven’t watched any setup videos, but I think the slowdowns might be due to that. Also, once it’s fully running, your CPU stays at maximum usage for a short time—possibly because it’s loading additional content.
This describes situations where only one processor core can handle tasks, a common issue in Minecraft due to its reliance on single-core performance.
I logged just the main core stats when launching Minecraft and Task Manager. Both show usage staying under 60% across any core, meaning none are hitting limits. It doesn’t seem like there are any bottlenecks here—this setup should work fine. If my i5 can run smoothly with Minecraft and Task Manager, a Ryzen 7 5800H should handle it easily.
