Despite adjusting my frame rate limit to 60 FPS, the issue persists.

It eased things when I was outside. Still, in dark places with vines or rocky surfaces it remains difficult.

I understand you mentioned your PC supports Skryim, but lowering the settings might help or restore the original configuration. You could also check the cache if you purchased it via Steam, use compatibility mode, or run it as an administrator. I’m not sure if you’ve tried these steps, but if none work, a clean reinstall is an option. Your saved files are safe, so don’t worry about them.

I've been using it for a day now and it seems to work. Just told GeForce to set optimal settings, and there are no more issues. From what I can see in the list, it uses a higher resolution than mine and stays under 60 due to that.

I haven't adjusted the settings yet, I'll check to see if it helps.
