I just reorganized my 1TB drive and moved everything to a smaller 0.5TB SSD. Now it’s telling me that Windows can’t be installed on this disk because it’s using a GPT partition style. This message appears on both the old HDD and the new SSD.

No, I haven't installed Linux on any device yet.

I attempted to set up Linux a week back since Windows isn’t working well for me. I managed to reinstall Windows using the recommended steps and watched several YouTube tutorials, but each one gave conflicting issues. I’m still unsure about operating Linux.

It began about a month back when my hard drive started to fail and no action I took other than reformatting it could restore it.

It seems the update is loading again and should function properly.

I appreciated watching that video and a few more, but the recurring error messages were frustrating. I hope I can recall this for future reference.

Linux changes your storage device (sdd or hdd) into another file type. From what I've seen, the best solution was booting from a live Ubuntu USB and using GParted to transform your drive into NTFS format. After that, format it with Windows installation media.
