Problem with Secure Boot - Need Assistance!
Hi, I just purchased a new PC a few months ago. I wanted to start playing Battlefield 2042 and noticed it needed secure boot. In short, I attempted to set it up myself in the BIOS, which asked me to be in user mode and provided a PlatformPK key. I followed the instructions, installed the platformPK, and it worked successfully—resetting without saving and confirming with a yes. However, now everything won’t show up. ChatGPT says I made a mistake. I’ve tried clearing the CMOS, but it still doesn’t display. I need some guidance.
I own a X870E Aorus Master MOBO. I also tried using the CMOS button on the back panel. Not sure what to do next. I considered checking the CMOS battery, though it’s hidden behind a bulky heatsink.
Additionally, I just noticed the VGA light is illuminated on my motherboard. I’m not sure what that means, as the MOBO is displaying the Ad code.
Please help me.
Hey there,
Please let us know which PC you bought, and what components it has. List CPU/GPU/Ram/Mobo/PSU/Storage etc.
Also, what bios is on the machine. You can reset CMOS, by taking the CMOS battery out, and shorting 2 pins. If it's behind a heatsink, you should be able to remove it. Then reset, then put the heatsink back.
You need integrated graphics to start. Check if your CPU supports it. The model you're using matters. If you don't have a Ryzen 5 7400F, 7500F, or 8400F, or a Ryzen 7 8700F, your CPU should have integrated graphics. Physically remove the discrete GPU from the system. Attach the monitor to the integrated graphics video output on the motherboard. Restart your system. Enter BIOS and undo any secure boot adjustments.
