Problem with screws on CPU cooler bracket installation
I shared photos of the problem. My CPU cooler isn’t cooling well because a long screw is inserted and another smaller one is placed over it, but everything ends up stuck together like they were forced into each other. This design for the cooler bracket is really bad. I attempted various ways to separate them without success. The top small screw now sits with the bracket and another screw, which is very frustrating. I also tried using an electric screwdriver and a clamp, but nothing worked. Everything is packed in a box with the computer inside. I’ve stopped playing games to avoid more stress, but I still want to fix this before discarding it completely. Now I’m experiencing CPU heating issues since there’s insufficient contact between the heat sink and the CPU. Any tips would be appreciated before I give up.
I was attempting to reapply thermal paste but it occurred unexpectedly after removing the fourth component.
