I'm dealing with an unusual issue that seems to appear occasionally. It mostly happens in a game, sometimes when the GPU isn't fully loaded or when I switch back to desktop from a game. My screen goes black and enters standby mode with no signal, while the second screen stays active. The PC keeps running and I still hear audio. I had to force shut it down after that, then it restarts normally. Windows event logs show no relevant entries. I've checked the GPU connections, re-seated it, and tested RAM; temperatures stayed under 71°C. Ran a stress test on Heaven without issues. I switched from a single 8-pin cable to two separate ones and reinstalled all drivers, but the problem persists. It hasn't happened again since I changed cables only recently. After a Furmark test, it worked fine. I've looked online but haven't found a fix—found a workaround for Netflix in MS Edge by disabling hardware acceleration. My specs are: Gigabyte RTX 3080ti, Ryzen 5800x3d, MSI B550 Carbon Wi-Fi, 32GB RAM (2 x 16GB at 3600MHz).

Maybe consider another benchmark? It seems like you're really struggling to find anything on the event log... it might just be that everything is quite old, maybe several years back.

the power supply... i experienced the same problem with the exact same issue, and it was the psu. but don't lose hope since it was 10-15 years old. try another one, and if that doesn't work, i have no idea what will. just keep experimenting with different options. please don't give up—i know how frustrating this can be from personal experience!

Tried Superposition 4k optimized and it functioned well too. The black screen problem seems resolved after switching cables, so maybe the setup was secure without extra cables. For the power supply, it's around a year old, while the main body is about a year old except for some newer components—replaced from 5600x to 5800x3d, all brand new.

I'll advise others with the same problem to reposition their cables. Cheers!
