Problem with Ryzen 5 5600X failing to power on with ASRock B450M Pro4-CB motherboard.
I discovered a fix by chance. A separate page on the ASROCK site provided BIOS updates for all OEM models. This wasn't shown on CyberPower's site or the non-CB model update list. After installing the BIOS, the new CPU worked perfectly. The link https://www.asrock.com/support/index.us.asp?cat=SIBIOS is available for anyone needing it later.
Sure, just to make sure you're on the right track. The P3.00 BIOS update you found doesn’t require any extra software or firmware changes beyond what’s already installed. You should be able to run your Ryzen 5 5600X normally without further adjustments. It’s a straightforward process, especially if you’re comfortable with the steps provided. Keep learning—you're doing great!
