I recently installed a Fractal Torrent Nano and connected the front ARGB fan to the 5v 3pin header on my Aorus B550i AX motherboard. It functions properly. I also linked the rear fan to it, and everything works smoothly. Adding the LED strip on the PSU shroud causes the front fan's RGB to flicker occasionally. Removing the rear fan and using just the front fan and strip resolves the issue. Using all three fans together is fine. Problems only appear when all three are connected. The motherboard header supports 3A, and Fractal recommends 0.6A and 0.3A for RGB fans. Unless the PSU strip draws more than 2A, the device count isn't the problem. I've already filed a support ticket with Fractal and was hoping for advice from others.

Consider using a power argb hub for stability, but it's definitely possible to work around that issue.

Now that the CPU cooler and RAM are installed, it's nearly impossible to change the cable on the ARGB header. I might need a USB 2.0 connection instead. There might be a BIOS update available that could affect this setup.

The hub connects to the MBD and the fans link back to the hub. Installation should be straightforward.

I might be mistaken, but I recall a recent JayZ2Cents video where he discussed a potential problem. The ARGB header is designed for 5V and a specific current. However, the addressable LEDs in the chain should stay under 120 to meet timing requirements. Therefore, the constraint comes from the WS2812 LEDs rather than the header's power capacity.

There are roughly 20 LEDs in total—about six per fan and six to eight on the power supply strip. I’ve removed the power supply strip for now.

It might not be enough animation to display a certain number of LEDs.

It glitches even when static appears, and there are roughly 20 LEDs.

Fractal has suggested sending me another fan, though I’m hesitant because it would require deleting the existing one from the motherboard header. It’s simple to remove, but very difficult to reinstall now that the CPU cooler is in place. I might just skip using the PSU strip since I need proof I’ve damaged the fan before they’ll send the replacement, leaving me without an intake fan for 3 to 4 days.
