Hi guys,
I've lost the ability to print remotely now. At home, the Smart app recognizes my printer and everything works, but when I'm away using mobile data or another WiFi, it just shows "Printer unavailable." It seems like the connection is completely broken. This issue started about a month ago, and nothing has changed on the printer or my phone. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Can I connect to your home network from outside?
Does your application possess all required permissions for communication?
Your phone may require location access, Bluetooth, file sharing...
Reinstall the app
Is your HP account still linked to your printer and is the "allow printing from anywhere" setting active?
Have you turned on the "private pickup" option?

I believe there might be a solution here... perhaps my router is interfering with the connection. On the other hand, I thought HP Smart handled the printer's network access. Everything seems normal on my home network while I'm connected there. The unusual part is that nothing has changed recently, and it's only now that I've lost the ability to print outside of my home network.

Are there any changes to the printer or my smartphone that might have occurred? It's possible an update, glitch, or issue has stopped remote printing. Review all settings through the HP SmartScreens. Do you have previous Printer Reports or Network Summary before remote printing worked? Compare them to see if anything was altered. Could a default setting like "allow printing from anywhere" have been restored?

It's strange, but HP Support claims that the ability to print remotely, independent of the printer's local network connection, has always been unavailable... ePrint is presented as the answer.

Sadly, it seems this situation might now be entirely HP's decision.
FYI:
https://www.hp.com/in-en/shop/tech-takes...-hp-eprint
From the link:
"Rather than relying on a driver or a direct link, HP ePrint’s cloud-based system lets you forward your print job through an HP-managed server, straight to your preferred printer."
My underline.
Another case might be companies aiming to act like "One Ring"...
It's not surprising with devices like routers, security cameras, or any IoT gadget.
This approach isn't a complete fix.
A potential solution could involve configuring the printer as a shared network node via an existing machine.
Then you'd remotely connect to that device to print. The main drawback would be needing constant availability of that computer.
Other viable options might exist:

Using a VPN ( #4 )perhaps...
