my system has a Crucial 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz RAM. in speccy it displays the DRAM frequency as just 299 MHz, not the full 2400 MHz. i've included the screenshot for your reference.
Avoid Speccy, switch to Cpu-z. For temperature tracking, employ HwInfo64.
The CPU-Z displays 1193 MHz, which is within normal ranges. It should be fine.
It operates at 2400mt/s or 1200MHz effectively, same as stated. Doubling it results in DDR (double data rate). You're correct.
