I own this computer since 2017. Its specifications are as follows: power supply 600w Corsair CX600M Bronze, motherboard MSI Z97 gaming, 5 CPU Intel i5 4690k, 4 x 8gb HyperX FURY DDR3 RAM, GPU rx460 4gb. Recently, when I powered it on, it would shut down briefly and restart repeatedly before the BIOS loaded. The error code E0 appeared on the motherboard display. After checking online, I realized the problem was linked to the RAM. I removed all my RAM modules and reinstalled just one back. Now the PC won’t shut down by itself, but the monitor fails to detect the GPU or integrated graphics, the keyboard works but not the mouse, and the motherboard shows "2B." It’s a complicated situation—I’m unsure what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. P.S. I have many other issues with my PC, so I wasn’t sure where to start posting.

Test each memory stick in the assigned slot following the instructions. Reinitialize the system with every stick. 2B corresponds to SPD data reading memory initialization. It might indicate faulty memory or simply a failing slot/channel. Try all channels with each stick until it functions properly. E0 indicates the resume process has begun, likely after a poor start-up following sleep mode. This setting generally refers to a post code rather than an error code. Another approach is to install the motherboard speaker and listen for beeps; these are direct error signals and don’t display codes like the onboard screen. Any additional codes should be noted from the forums linked below. Good luck with your testing. If you have more kits to evaluate, it would help to confirm if the issue lies with the board or the memory.
