Hey everyone, my brother mentioned his PC is acting sluggish and asked me to check it out. After some checks, I found that only 4GB of the 8GB RAM is actually available for use. I’ve tried re-seating the RAM, clearing CMOS, testing each slot individually, and even changing the memory settings in msconfig. Despite these efforts, the system still shows low memory and runs at very slow speeds. I ran a Windows diagnostic and everything looked normal. In BIOS it read only 4096MB, but once I entered it, both RAM sticks were detected in single-channel mode with less than 800MHz each. I’ve attached screenshots from CPUZ and Task Manager for your reference. I’d really appreciate any suggestions you might have to fix this issue, which has been frustrating me for the past couple of days.

Check if your brother's system includes an APU and whether it relies on its built-in graphics. It's possible he's using integrated graphics that share limited RAM as VRAM.
