i was running bg3 on my custom pc i built a few months back. suddenly my pfs fell from above 60 to just 10. checking the task manager showed everything normal. then the computer shut down completely. now it lights up and spins the fans, but after about ten seconds it turns off again.

Check the GPU removal and switch to integrated graphics to test.

Just to clarify, your update is mostly assisting with a Cemos reset and CPU overheating issue.

Uncle here – looks like I'm getting a bit old. Probably the pump's broken.

It's quite odd, the pump was actually faulty (it's probably completely broken). You clearly have a deep understanding of PCs, as you were able to pinpoint the issue just by sensing my computer from afar. We definitely weren't in a meeting trying to fix everything.
