Problem with PCIe 1x card in new motherboard slot.
Hello everyone. I recently purchased a new motherboard, CPU, and other components. I own an MSI H510M-A PRO with one 16x slot and one 1x PCIe slot. I previously used an old Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1800 PCIe capture card on my old motherboard, and after removing the graphics card from the 16x slot, it worked fine there but not in the 1x slot. Only the 16x slot accepted it. I removed everything—M.2 drives and the graphics card—and still couldn’t get recognition in the 1x slot. Is this board defective, or is there something I’m missing? Are these old PCIe cards no longer compatible with modern motherboards?
I rely on the combined input for capturing VHS tapes in OBS. I tested it a couple of weeks back on my older motherboard, which confirms its functionality.
I'm curious if the first setting passes through the chipset while the others don't.
