The installation process may be choosing CSM over UEFI, while the BIOS could be set to UEFI or missing the alternative.

If your BIOS recognizes the drive, it should work, though it won’t appear in the boot menu—only the UEFI boot manager will see it after installation. Using a CSM/MBR for a GPT install requires careful conversion, as explained [here](https://www.maketecheasier.com/convert-l...-windows10). If your BIOS is configured for compatibility mode and the drive is marked as CSM, it may not boot in EFI. Switching between CSM and UEFI is not recommended; doing so usually breaks the installation process. You might need to enable the CSM option in the BIOS and try again. Alternatively, if you installed a GPT partition while in CSM mode and updated the BIOS, it could default to UEFI on the next boot.

If the drive instead uses MBR (CSM), the BIOS must have Legacy Boot Mode enabled for it to function properly. Sometimes these settings conflict—disabling one may be necessary. Experiment with toggling options like Legacy Boot Mode, CSM Boot Mode, or Boot Compatibility Mode in your BIOS.

It used to be legacy+uefi now it's just "uefi". I can't modify it for any reason.

Did you turn off W10 WHQL support? For reference, a new install could be necessary if you're using an older boot version. To consider upgrading to W11, you should not be running in legacy mode at all.
