Problem with PC shutting down unexpectedly.
I assembled a gaming PC about half a year ago, and it has performed excellently. Recently, I experienced a problem where the system would shut down unexpectedly without warning. It doesn’t come through Windows, but it powers off completely instantly. After restarting, it often behaves normally, though sometimes it displays the Windows Recovery screen. Occasionally, I can use it for a short time before it stops, or it shuts down right after logging in to Windows. However, there have been periods when everything worked perfectly for more than two hours while playing games.
Recently, I added an M.2 SSD and cloned my hard drive onto that drive using Macrum Reflect. I’m not very comfortable with computers—my friend built the PC for me and guided me through the setup. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated since this issue is quite bothersome.
Consider whether you should replace the item or try resolving the issue.
Could you try it yourself? If it fails to resolve the problem, please send it back.
Your current power supply isn't great. I'd stick with the new one even if it's not the main issue. You definitely need a better one.
It seems the estimate of wattage from your PC part picker doesn't match the PSU's capacity, which might indicate a problem with the PSU itself or another underlying issue.
