Problem with PC setup during gameplay
My build details
Intel Core i5-13600K 3.5 GHz 14-core processor
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB 66.17 CFM CPU cooler
Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX ATX LGA1700 motherboard
G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 memory
Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVMe SSD
Gigabyte EAGLE OC GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB graphics card
EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 650 W, 80+ Gold certified, fully modular ATX power supply
NZXT H9 Flow ATX mid-tower case
I assembled all components and played games, but the system would crash with various errors.
Common issues included:
IRQL Not equal or Less
System Thread Exception Not Handled
Kmode Exception Not Handled
Unexpected kernel trap error
I performed reinstalls for Windows 11 Pro, ran clean boots, and checked all possible fixes. Despite these steps, problems persist. I’m unsure if the hardware is faulty or if my actions caused further damage.
I followed driver installation and updates, but the only remaining action was reinstalling the parts. I ran the SFC, DISM, chisk utilities.
If there’s anything else I should try, please let me know.
Thank you.
It seems like either the CPU or the Mobo might be the issue. That's what you're getting from the previous steps and the BSOD messages you've shared.
When using xmp, disable it...test. If no assistance is needed, detach the GPU and connect to the igp...test.
Xmp is a bios configuration.
Deleting the gpu and switching to igp involves a physical process.
It might be wise to back up and store a copy of memtest86 on a flash drive.
Insert the drive and start it—ensure there are no errors.
