Hello! After a five-day break from using my PC, it unexpectedly powered off after roughly an hour of operation. When I connect the power supply unit, the motherboard's RGB lighting functions normally. Pressing the power button lights up and stays on continuously. The fans start spinning for about a second before shutting down again right away. None of the POST indicators illuminate, and the system doesn’t fully cut off after that. It seems like it’s mostly in a standby state except for the power button light, which remains on until I manually switch off the PSU. Additionally, there was a possibility of damaged RAM during the same night, so I checked for memory issues but didn’t find anything. The system is around a year old—CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X570-PRO, RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL (DDR4, 3600MHz, CL18, 4x16GB), GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 VISION OC 10G, Case: CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW, Storage: 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, 2TB Samsung 980 Pro PSU: CORSAIR RM750x (750W, 80+ Gold), Cooling: CORSAIR iCue H150i ELITE CAPELLIX, OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit. If you need more specifics to help resolve this, I’m happy to share. Edit 1: Each time I pressed the power button, the PSU would make a single click followed by another rapid click upon shutdown. I observed that now it’s clicking twice in quick succession. I reset the BIOS. Updated July 11, 2023 by Kangaroo2K
Disable the BIOS/CCOM by connecting the pins on the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard manual for precise pin positions.
I refreshed the BIOS settings, but the PC still won’t start. I observed the power supply emitting a double click when the power button is pressed. It seems like it’s detecting an issue and shutting down. What are your thoughts?
