Hello everyone,

I've been using my PC for three years now. All my parts indicate it's a top-tier gaming system. Here are some benchmark numbers for comparison:

UserBenchmarks: Game 97%, Desk 89%, Work 100%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - 84.7%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 - 114.1%
SSD: MSI M370 1TB - 200.8%
SSD: Microsoft Storage Space Device 2TB - 537.6%
RAM: G.SKILL F4-3200C16-16GTZR F4-3200C16-8GTZR F4-3200C16-16GTZR F4-3200C16-8GTZR 48GB - 65.9%
MBD: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI)

Over the past few years, I've experienced freezing issues in games. It began when I was playing Valhiem online; only after a week or so did it start affecting most of my games, especially when online.

Recently, while playing Satisfactory at full settings, the game worked well for a short time but then froze every five minutes. Adjusting the settings resolved the problem. My large save file in Factorio has always run smoothly.

My latest frustration came with Space Marine 2. I completed the intro without issues, but once I entered the main game it started freezing and crashing regularly. I adjusted the settings, optimized performance, updated NVIDIA 3D settings from the provided link, applied all recent game and driver updates, and still faced freezes.

I've also upgraded my PSU (Corsair RM1000x) and added more RAM. I've reinstalled and uninstalled GPU drivers multiple times, closed background programs, run games as administrator, ensured games had firewall access, updated BIOS, turned off overclocking in BIOS, and now it's back on.

Despite these efforts, the PC still feels unstable. It seems like the GPU might be the issue, even though my benchmarks show otherwise. I'm considering a GPU replacement but want to check the forums first before making a big investment.

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

If this occurs mainly online, begin by checking your speed test results to confirm you're receiving the advertised or near-advertised internet speeds. Ensure your network drivers are current.

Just completed a speed test.
Download: 938.13 Mbps, Upload: 936.26 Mbps on a 1GB fiber link.
All drivers are current.
It's mostly online but it freezes during single-player games, especially with SM2. I think the game supports always-on connectivity even in single-player campaign mode.

Check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for error messages, alerts, and other logs that could have been recorded around the time of the freezes.

Hardware issue may stem from damaged files. Execute "dism" and "sfc /scannow". See guidance for Windows 10 image repair at the provided links.

The DISM tools didn't yield results, though SFC/Scannow did. I'm trying it now. This is the most encouraging I've felt recently. Hopeful!

The game continued to fail even after three attempts, resulting in the same error. Should I consider a new Windows installation?

Avoiding the cheat in multiplayer games may lead to freezing issues. Remove all multiplayer applications, restart your computer, and play only offline games without any anti-cheat features to test the outcome.

I saw another discussion about the LiveKernelEvent 141 problem with my GPU. Someone mentioned that my manufacturer normally overclocks their cards by default. I turned it back down to factory settings and haven’t had any crashes since. I also managed to restore my graphics settings to their original level. Thanks to everyone for your help and advice. Windows likely had corrupt files, which the fixes did assist with, and I wouldn’t have discovered the correct error code without understanding reliability history!
