My computer stopped functioning a week ago and I attempted various fixes like reseating RAM, removing the CMOS battery, applying new thermal paste to CPU and GPU. When I restart, the fans spin rapidly and then slow down repeatedly, and it doesn’t boot at all, not even with BIOS enabled. Could this be related to my power supply?

That's a really bad PSU. [SOLVED] - I went cheap on this one. It cost $57, and I haven't installed it yet. Can someone confirm if it might brick the whole system or cause crashes under heavy use? Please. forums.

Additionally, it seems your power supply unit might be the source of the issues.

unless you have something extra to try, sure, begin with a better PSU.
