Hey there, I built a new PC and faced some gaming issues with packet loss. After testing fixes and comparing with my old setup, I realized the problem lies with my current hardware—not the router. My old board (x570) used Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 at 160MHz and didn’t have this issue, while my new board (x670) has RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E 160MHz and runs BIOS F4. Any advice or suggestions would be super helpful!

LAN connections are a better choice for desktop computers. If you're facing packet loss, purchasing a new Wi-Fi card might help, but in my situation it's more practical to contact your ISP and have them run a LAN cable to your PC.

Hey! Lan would be my top choice if available. At first, I had good performance with Wi-Fi and no packet loss on my old PC, but now my new PC is really impacting how games run.

It's suggested to use a Wi-Fi card if the issue keeps happening, or move the Wi-Fi modem nearer for better performance.

It might be related to your motherboard and Wi-Fi rather than just the drivers.

If running on Ethernet isn't possible, consider using powerline adapters—probably a better option than Wi-Fi after all...

The internet connection at my desk is slow, around 250 to 300 downloads and 50 uploads, even with ongoing packet loss. It might be due to a problem with the Wi-Fi adapter or the motherboard's controller.

You can achieve the fastest connections on Earth and still experience packet drops if the connection is shaky. It might be due to a bad controller or mismatched settings with your router. I’ve noticed powerline offers better stability than Wi-Fi, so I upgraded to a solid Ethernet cable and placed the adapters in the basement.

Currently I have an AV600 connection, but the download speeds are quite low—around 50-60 Mbps—which is much slower than what I experience with Wi-Fi. Would upgrading to something like an AV1000 help improve this performance?

You're experiencing full performance with AV1000 adapters despite limited internet speed.
