I accidentally overclocked too much with MSI Afterburner, and shortly after, my screen began displaying strange glitches—green, blue, black squares with heavy tearing. I stopped using the PC immediately and then tried it again, but the issue persisted. The HDMI source also cut out. I’ve tested another account and it works properly. Should I remove MSI Afterburner?

You might switch to UEFI, adjust your settings backward, or restart with basic configurations to test again.

Was das nur ein GPU-OC? Das ändert nichts im BIOS.
Falls du in Afterburner nicht zu den Standardeinstellungen zurückkehren kannst, entferne es einfach aus dem Safe-Modus.

Activate your PC and keep Ctrl pressed during login to stop MSI Afterburner from making adjustments. Release it briefly once you notice the desktop. Launch MSI Afterburner and your GPU will return to its standard clock speeds. Also remember to perform a stress test after each minor modification.

From my school account (already forgot the password and am at school, lmao.), I started my PC in safe mode and logged in. The tearing began after a few minutes, even after multiple attempts failed to stop it. Then I had an idea: MSI Afterburner offers different profiles. A few minutes before the screen starts tearing again, I navigated to my C drive, went to my profile, then to processes x86, opened MSI Afterburner and deleted the profiles.
