Problem with NVMe storage device
Problem with NVMe storage device
I purchased a Samsung 970 EVO Plus with 500gb storage for saving my games. It functioned properly for a week, but now it seems to vanish whenever I attempt to use it or apply any load. After running diagnostics, I suspect the NVMe controller might be faulty, as it also disappears during these events. I’m not overclocking anything beyond the standard Corsair DOCP RAM. The issue started with a new board, which had problems detecting an SSD even before. Please advise if there’s anything wrong and help me resolve this.
there are several $10 adapters that fit m.2 SSDs via SATA ports, and some offer USB connectivity too. buying one could help determine if the problem lies with the SSD itself or your NVMe controller.
They replaced the motherboard, but no exact problem was mentioned. It seems the southbridge might have been the issue, and the new board is now functioning properly.
