I'm unfamiliar with NixOS, so I don't understand their developers' methods well. You might want to retry the installation or use the live USB. Some distros let you reinstall the bootloader from there. If that's not an option, try another attempt and check if it works. It's better to install on a separate drive rather than dual-booting with Windows or another OS. I've seen cases where a single failed install resolves itself on the second try. If none of these help, check NixOS' forums for more tailored advice. Whenever possible, seeking help from community discussions is usually more effective.
