Problem with newly installed PC DRAM
Problem with newly installed PC DRAM
Your PC powers on normally but doesn’t display HDMI output. There’s a motherboard indicator showing a DRAM issue. Consider checking the RAM connections, testing the RAM sticks, and ensuring the power supply is adequate.
Do you have a GPU installed? Which HDMI ports are you connecting? Have you tested other ports besides HDMI? You can check functionality by running the system without video output. It might be the HDMI connection that isn't working, or the GPU itself.
I have a graphics card (XFX Radeon 580) with two HDMI slots on both the motherboard and the card that use the standard A HDMI. Neither one is working. The other ports, like the DVI-D, haven’t been tested because DVI doesn’t connect to my monitor.
What settings are you using? If you have dual-channel memory, consider using a single stick. It seems one or more RAM modules might be faulty, improperly installed, or there could be compatibility problems. Check online for compatibility information. Let me know if that helps!
