I have a z790 UD AX motherboard with a new SSD installed and Windows running. In my boot settings, I don’t see an option to boot from it except for two old drives. To use CSM, I need to turn off Safe Boot, but if that’s disabled, Windows 11 won’t work. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you set up Windows while several drives were connected, the installer might have chosen to place the boot partition on an older drive. Therefore, it makes sense that there is no bootable partition on the new SSD, and you shouldn't be able to start from it. This is why we always advise against installing Windows with more than one drive attached—if the old drive fails or is removed, Windows won't be able to boot.

If you take that drive out and reinstall Windows on the new SSD, should it work? You might also want to delete the partition from the old drive since you've already formatted it for the new system.
