I recently attempted to configure my new computer, but it isn’t booting up. It emits a series of beeps, which we suspect are linked to the RAM not being compatible with the motherboard. The provided links lead to two YouTube videos showing the codes—one at normal speed and another in slow motion. Here are the links:

It’s challenging to determine exactly how many beeps occur. If the RAM isn’t compatible, what steps can we take to identify suitable RAM according to the official compatibility list? The complete part list is included below:

1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps
During boot attempts I receive a single long beep followed by two short beeps. I searched online and found it relates to a video card issue, but neither my 5850 nor the onboard GPU worked. I tested DVI and HDMI connections. Any other suggestions or is this a problem with the board? The model is M4A89GTD Pro.

taking ram out and reseating both. and then if same result, put them in other two slots. and try... . if not working still, try 1 ram at a time is "each slot". so clear cmos between each attempt...

I managed to install and configure Windows using the iGPU. There might be a reason the 1650 isn't functioning properly. We should attempt to reinstall it and check if the same beep code appears.

did you successfully install the 1650? when using it in windows with igpu, does it appear in the settings under "device manager"? if it shows up then you should be able to use it. if not, it could mean your motherboard and windows are treating the card as a "legacy card". in that case, you'd need to adjust the BIOS and set boot options for other devices to "legacy" or "legacy and uefi" for it to be recognized during startup.

We have resolved the issue. It turned out the beeps were due to the HDMI cable not connecting correctly on the monitor side. The problem also occurs when the PC is moved.
