Problem with network connection, need assistance.
Hey there, I’m facing a major issue that’s really frustrating. My devices aren’t working properly, so I can’t use apps like Teamspeak or Discord. When I log in, it doesn’t connect to any servers. I’m able to play online games and everything else works fine. I’ve tried updating drivers, Windows, BIOS, Intel, even reinstalled the OS. Still, nothing seems to be right. I’ve attached a picture of the problem I’m experiencing with Teamspeak.
I chose to use TeamSpeak for the first time in roughly four years to check myself and noticed the client requests a server password, indicating a server is likely running on that domain and port. However, I no longer rely on TS, so you might need to test your network settings. Install the TeamSpeak mobile app on a mobile device, then attempt to join the same server via WiFi while connected to your local network, and finally try with cellular data. If you face issues only on WiFi but connect successfully over cellular, it’s likely the modem or router is the problem. Unless your client offers clearer feedback beyond “failed,” consider reaching out to the official support forums at https://community.teamspeak.com/ or checking your log file for more details.
You're spot on. I can use the mobile app with my service provider, but not when connected to Wi-Fi. This suggests the router might be faulty. It seems like a defective router would prevent the regular internet connection from working.
Good job handling the issue—your setup functions well on your mobile data but not on your home Wi-Fi. This suggests a problem with your modem/router or the path between your home network and the TeamSpeak server. Check your client log for further details; it’s available under Tools > Client Log in the TeamSpeak app.
