Problem with my PC failing to start after a regular shutdown
Good evening, I encountered an issue before making some adjustments, but the problem reappeared.
Before
r7 3700x
Rtx3070
650watts – a strange brand PSU
Tforce RAM 32GB 3600
Asus Prime 550 Plus with Wi-Fi
Prior to my PC experiencing the same issue, after a regular shutdown, whenever I tried to boot again, the computer wouldn’t start. So I had to shut it down manually and then turn it back on – it worked! Just let me know (I haven’t had random shutdowns, no unusual temperatures, everything else is normal except for the boot problem after shutdown).
After that, I replaced the PSU, motherboard, and RAM.
Now I have a Corsair 850 Plus Gold, two 16GB RAM sticks, and a TUF X570 Plus Wi-Fi.
Switching the RAM from Tforce to Corsair resolved the issue for about a month, but it came back.
Currently, I’m using a 3200MHz motherboard on a Dell PC and have lowered my CPU voltage to 1.30V. Switching to a 3600MHz PC isn’t working well – I don’t know why. But I’m okay with 3200MHz.
From what I’ve read online, changing the PSU, motherboard, or RAM might be the cause, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for me.
I’m essentially rebuilding everything, and it still won’t boot after shutdown. I also updated the BIOS, so I’m unsure what to do next. 🙃
I’d really appreciate help from someone with more experience.
Thank you, and sorry for the poor English.
Memo: I never changed my RX 7700 or R7 3700 X, never upgraded hardware, still using Windows 10.
Locate the precise brand and model of your PSU. Mismatching it with an RTX 3070 is a warning.
I purchased a Corsair RM850 plus gold from Best Buy about three months ago.
I didn't mention it, but when I turned on the PC it didn't boot at all, everything was on but nothing appeared on the screen. The TUF motherboard had an amber light, which made me think it was related to RAM. That's why I removed the TForce RAMs and replaced them with Corsair ones, but later I encountered another issue.
