Problem with my PC
Hello,
This occurred unexpectedly on my PC. When I attempt to turn it on by pressing the case power button, it enters a repetitive cycle of brief startup phases with fans spinning and GPU LED lights flashing, followed by no power, then restarting for a second before failing again. This pattern repeats roughly 5 to 6 times, after which it finally powers up and displays the motherboard BIOS welcome screen, but freezes with a single beep sound.
I’m unsure why this is happening since it’s my first time experiencing it. I’ve tried reconnecting all power cables inside the case, swapping RAM slots, using a different RAM module, and even powering up with another PSU, but the issue persists. Could you help identify the possible cause?
PC details:
Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H
Intel i5 3570K
Gigabyte GTX 970
16GB RAM
PSU Seasonic 750w / SS-750JS Active PFC F3
Thank you for your response.
I understand you're not responding suddenly and don't want to proceed with the welcome screen or BIOS settings.
If you're experiencing issues with RAM, I've already tried reinstalling them in different slots or just one of two. Are there any steps you can take to troubleshoot the motherboard? Also, could this failure to power on multiple times be connected to a refresh failure?
Update:
After several attempts, it was due to GPU, the pc runs just fine and boots up to windows when i remove it and runs with integrated graphics card of CPU.
So, if there are any means to make sure that there is no problem with my power supply that failing to power up GPU and the problem is just due to GPU in case of planning to upgrade PC with my current power supply?
Thanks in advance,,
