Hey there! Welcome to the forums. If I posted this thread in the wrong area, a moderator could easily move it to the right section. Thanks a lot!

My issue is quite unusual. It occurs across every multiplayer game I’ve played. For instance, in CS GO everything works smoothly for about 5-10 minutes, but then my character freezes and I can’t move at all. I can see around but can’t control my character with the keyboard or voice chat. After a few seconds, I get disconnected with a message saying I’ve timed out. The same thing happens in Blacklight Retribution. I can play normally for 5-10 minutes, but then every player seems to move in the same direction as if they’d been disconnected or are glitching. I can shoot and move my camera freely, but I can’t chat or speak. After a couple of seconds, I’m disconnected too. This also happens in Lord of the Rings online. I can play again for a few minutes, then my character freezes and I can’t move, though I can still adjust the camera. I need to log in again to play.

In Minecraft and League of Legends, I’m experiencing high ping. The ping numbers in League of Legends show 50-55, but it feels like 100-150. Sometimes during team fights, my ping spikes to 230, 500, or even 800—rarely. I checked Minecraft too; people see me freeze for a second before teleporting. When I break blocks, they vanish after about three seconds, but in Minecraft I never disconnect from the server.

The weird part is that when all this happens, my internet stays online and everything works fine. Even friends on Skype hear me normally. I tried restarting the modem and plugging in a new Ethernet cable, but it didn’t help.

Here are my PC specs:
- Graphics card: Asus GTX 970 4GB
- Processor: Intel Core i5 4690k (3.5 GHz quad-core)
- Motherboard: MSI gaming 5
- RAM: 8GB DDR4, 1 stick
- Power supply: Corsair 600W

Internet specs: Directly connected via Ethernet. Download speed 6.80 Mbps, upload 1 Mbps. Ping 10-20 ms. This info was verified using http://www.speedtest.net in my country.

This problem is really frustrating and I need a fix quickly. Thanks for your help!

We don't have all the details about your ISP; based on your speeds, it doesn't seem to be the top option available.

My ISP is GTV, which comes from a company called Tele-TV. I'm from Slovenia, so I'm not sure if this would be useful for you. However, I think it's unlikely to help since my connection speed is limited. My friends have slower speeds and they play without issues. I also saw that some people are playing Counter-Strike with 3 Mbps download speeds without any problems. Thank you for your quick reply!

I just found out about Gorenska Televizija for the first time. Probably it's your ISP, I don’t really know much about it. Ask a friend which ISP they use, and download/upload speeds aren’t that important for games.

I mentioned earlier that my friends use the same ISP and don’t face the same problems I do. Plus, you probably don’t understand my ISP since you’re not in Slovenia.
