Hi, i just bought a new MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4 motherboard and an i3 13100f. The motherboard isn't powering up, i only used the CPU 1 power socket since max power draw for the 13100f is only 90 watts. I noticed there are no polarity symbols on the front panel power lead but i tried it both ways anyway and no joy. RAM is seated correctly in A2 and B2 slots. The 24-Pin ATX power is seated correctly. Any ideas greatly appreciated Thanks, Gary.

Did you connect the front panel connectors properly? Consider giving the CPU extra power using another connector. Verify that your display cable isn’t plugged into the motherboard’s display output. Vid on the front panel connectors below. Ensure they’re connected to your jftp1 port and confirm the PSU is active.

Thank you. The JFP1 connectors are functioning properly, no display cable is connected, and the PSU and power cables work on a different machine.

Confirm the PSU is connected properly, also consider reseating the CPU despite any discomfort. Connect your display cable to the GPU. Ensure all power connectors are seated correctly and verify each one. Make sure everything is installed as requested.

Turned on PSU, verified CPU placement, tried with display connected. Double-checked all power cables. No such issue has arisen before—I’ve only experienced a single dead motherboard since building my first PC in 1995, so this might be the second one.

Occasionally it happens. I'm sorry about that. Where did you purchase this motherboard? Refurbished, second-hand, or from a site like Facebook or Amazon?

New release on Amazon, featuring the i3 and Corsair 4000d airflow case. If I locate my PSU tester, I’ll verify the voltages just in case. The PSU is from 2016, yet it still powers up the old ASUS motherboard—never sure what to expect.

The price was quite affordable, and I purchased it several years back.

Check the GPU model and verify its compatibility with the system.
