Problem with MSI fast boot and bios access
Hey guys, I just enabled MSI fast boot on my mobo to see if it would get rid of a problem where the MSI logo screen would show twice on boot. It didn't really solve the problem but now my keyboard doesn't turn on until after that screen has finished meaning that I cant actually press 'DEL' to access the bios. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance. I’ll likely change the subject name and handle the dual bios display later. On an 850 EVO, it only takes roughly 10 seconds to clear those screens.
The motherboard is the main circuit board in a computer that connects all the components together.
Attempting a different approach, I have a workaround that could help others. Enabling MSI Fast Boot will turn off USB input while keeping PS/2 active. For entering BIOS, consider these options: A - Use a PS/2 keyboard (not available). B - Clear CMOS (despite having a clear button, settings remain). C - Turn off MSI Fast Boost via the MSI app (doesn't work on my board). D - Try a method from past overclocking: use a CPU overclock tool in Windows 10, such as MSI Dragon Center 2, or overclock to a high frequency like 6 GHz without changing voltage. After the first boot, review the options listed and check the attached picture. F - From the Boot menu, select MSI Bios to permanently disable Fast Boot.)
