Problem with MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and RAM (troubleshooting guide)
Are there any experts who can assist with configuring this unusual RAM setup that’s been problematic for the past three years? It functions properly for a while but suddenly malfunctions—last night everything was fine except when using two sticks. Now only one stick works, even though the PC runs without issues. I’ve tried reinstalling the chipset and BIOS, reseating the CMOS, and testing different RAM slots, but nothing resolves it. Because of this, I’ve sold other rams and switched to dual-channel memory. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600; Mobo: Tomahawk Max B450 (latest bios); RAM: Corsair Vengeance LX PCL 18 (8x2 3600MHz). I’m considering moving to Intel if this issue persists.
It could be related to the CPU memory controller. Unfortunately, Zen 2 CPUs appear to have memory controller problems as they get older. Have you attempted to re-seat the CPU? Verified the connections? Tested with XMP profiles and lowered the clock speed to 3200 to determine stability?
I've attempted XMP in off mode. Set RAM to default 2133 and 3200, but only single sticks are functioning. I'll try reseating the CPU.

If I use both RAM modules, the screen disappears and I notice a DRAM issue on the motherboard. Even the individual sticks aren't functioning properly. I've checked every slot arrangement suggested in the manual.
It seems there might be an issue. I’d consider taking it apart and putting it back together, or trying a different RAM option. I could feel confused too.
