I just updated Manjaro and saw the internet is acting up—downloads are slow and uploads feel laggy, like only half the traffic is working. Even basic tests show high latency. The ping to 8.8.8.8 shows a 10ms delay, which seems normal, but the real issue is the connection speed.

For your MSI gaming 5 motherboard, you’ll need Linux-specific drivers. Killer Ethernet drivers work on Windows but won’t function in Linux. Check the official MSI website or community forums for compatible Linux drivers.

This refers to the Killer E2205 Gigabit LAN controller in your manual. It notes compatibility with Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 only. Supported drivers for other systems can be found on the vendor's website, linked here: https://wiki.linuxfoundation.org/networking/alx

they share a guide on their github repository: navigate to the project directory, clone the source, move into compatibility folder, run the compatibility tree generator, and then proceed with the build steps. If you're unfamiliar with scripting, searching online would be a quicker route. Manual command execution is also an option.

This didn't resolve the issue. I also saw some reports suggesting it could be related to a firewall, but I'm unsure about configuring one in Manjaro or temporarily disabling it to check.

Well, I’m not familiar with this situation, but it seems like you're facing some issues with the distribution. You might want to switch to another option—there are ways to get drivers installed without much trouble. The OS can help you find the right setup by guiding you through simple steps. If you're stuck, try learning a bit of Bash or searching online, especially checking Arch Linux wiki for more tips.
