Problem with M2 NVMe SSD on Cyborg 15 A12VF booting
Hello, I noticed that after installing Windows updates on my laptop, the BIOS settings for my SSD were reset and I can't start the PC anymore. I recall that when I first attempted to reinstall Windows, I had to adjust a hidden setting in the Advanced Hidden BIOS, but I can't locate it now. Can anyone assist me? When I first tried booting after the updates, I was directed to a BSOD with a sad smiley face. I understand the fix is straightforward and should be found in the hidden Advanced BIOS options shown in the attached photo. Please let me know if you need more details. Thank you in advance.
Found the fix, here are the steps to follow: 1- Open BIOS by restarting the laptop and pressing delete repeatedly until the MSI logo appears 2- Navigate to the advanced settings 3- Use Ctrl+Shift+Left Alt+F2 to reveal hidden BIOS/advanced options 4- Press Enter to enter system agent configuration 5- Go to VMDI system menu 6- Turn off "Enable VMD Controller" (press Enter, adjust arrow and press Enter) 7- Click the save tab and select save and reset This should resolve the problem. Keep in mind this issue first appeared after installing a new M2 NVMe SSD that wasn't detected during Windows 11 setup, so it might apply to similar cases. Remember, updating BIOS will require repeating these actions. Thanks for the helpful advice from the Reddit tech support Discord.
