Hey, I’ve been using the same setup for about a year now—5950x on an ASRock X570 Extreme4 with 5950x on Asrock X570 Extreme4 Extreme4 32GB. My idle temps sit around 70°C, and I’m stuck with OBS not working and a game from 2008 that struggles under load. The CPU heats up a lot, and my temps stay high even when idle. People seem to manage it better by keeping the CPU at 30-50°C with less cooling, but I have this model. It’s frustrating! My specs are exactly what you described. Please keep it quiet!
Increase the pump speed fully on the AIO; if it fails, raise the rad fan speed. Otherwise, consider upgrading to a better cooler.
The instructions don't mention any performance mode settings. It seems there might be some confusion about the setup. Could you clarify how your AIO is connected and which cables correspond to the headers? Please use the quote button so others know I responded.
I noticed your adjustment from fan to wpump settings. The only modification I made was that. Regarding the pump connection, it’s a bit tricky to access and photograph, but I managed to capture an image.
I prefer not to trigger extra pings but I want to share this. When the CPU stays at 1.440V with slight variations, and my Cinebench r23 temps decrease while voltage drops to 1.00, it seems strange. The idea of stressing the CPU reducing its workload isn’t clear to me. It feels like the CPU is always under pressure unless something changes. Here’s a picture of what I’m describing.
Verify your mounting pressure carefully. The CCD shouldn’t be noticeably cooler than the other one when under load. It seems you might have used the wrong hardware for AM4 or applied uneven tightening to the CPU block. The thermal paste distribution will reveal the issue. i will today take the PC down sorry it took a bit just gave up looking at everything at 2 am... question that bothers me is it normal that the cpu runs all the time at high 1.440+v cause if i put the battery settings on saving mode it drops to 1v and temps go down instantly to 35c i will take apart it and check it ofc. i will try that shortly and post images directly. keep in mind this is a prebuild from company called Dubaro
With a solid mount and functioning pump, skipping the strange fan curve might be wise. I recall someone mentioning PBO increasing power too much, which could raise CPU temps. It’d be useful to check temperatures after disabling it—lower temps could let you undervolt slightly and see if that improves things.
