Others are seeing around 50-55 fps with the same setup as mine, but I'm consistently getting 40 fps. V sync is on, yet I'm not using ultra mode—just high. UPDATE/EDIT: I found pirated copies and plan to wait for my pre-ordered game. Specs are noted.

First, verify performance problems by turning off Vsync. Then, open the INI file located in My/Games/FC4 and adjust the GPU-MAXBUFFERED setting between 0 and 1, experimenting with values from 1 to 5 to determine what works best.

I continue experiencing the same FPS even when v sync is turned off. The .ini file only has one entry and it doesn’t include gpu-maxbuffered. I adjusted it to 1 in the NVIDIA control panel, though. The game was preordered on Amazon. I just needed to do what was necessary to make it playable as soon as possible.
